Site Disclaimer and Copyrights
Here is the required disclaimer and copyright, as required by the The Middle Kingdom Webminister's Handbook
This is the recognized Web Page for Incipient Canton of Border Keep of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. The Maintainer of this page is Douglas Needham (e-mail: cinnion <at> ka8zrt <dot> com). It is not a corporate publication of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., and does not delineate SCA policies. All material hereon should be considered under copyright protections according to U.S. law and international treaty, and may not be reused or linked to without the permission of the author, artist, or other copyright owner as designated. In case of conflict with printed versions of material printed on this page or its links, the dispute will be decided in favor of the printed version unless otherwise indicated.
In addition to this standard disclaimer/copyright, it should be noted that areas of this site include information contributed by various officers, such as reports, newsletters, and eventually even mailing list archives, as well as individual areas maintained by members of the canton. Some of this will be accessable by the public, while other areas will be accessable only to members of the canton or its officers. The site maintainer attempts to regularly review content on the site to assure its adherence to the The Middle Kingdom Webminister's Handbook, and in the case of infractions, will take action. However, things can be missed, and the maintainer asks to be advised of any possible infractions.
In other words...
- This page belongs to us, the members of the Incipient Canton of Border Keep.
- The site maintained by Cinnion.
- Officers and members of the canton can place content on this site in areas limited based upon their account privileges. Not all content has necessarily yet been reviewed by the site maintainer.
- None of us can claim to set forth anything like SCA Policy, Midrealm Policy, etc. We are just small fish in a very big pond. Besides, given some hiding spots, it is more comfortable being a small fish in a big pond than a big fish in a little pond, isn't it??
- Being our stuff, we retain all rights to what we put on our page, and thanks to all sorts of laws and other legalese, we are politely telling you not to copy it unless you ask.
- As to linking to it...hey, we also retain the right to rename files, break your links to it, etc.
- If there are conflicts between printed documents and online versions, etc., the printed copies are generally the authoritative copy, unless noted (and in those cases, you can generally also expect the printed copies to refer to the online copy).
